Dear Stop AIDS,
Tomorrow is a major day in the calendar, marking as it does this year’s:
Stand Up & Take Action Against Poverty Campaign!
On Friday 17th October at 1.10pm outside the Union, there will be a rally of students to voice our support for the Millennium Development Goals and our demands to tackle poverty and inequality. After hearing from guest speakers Paul Younger (Pro-Vice Chancellor) and Pete Mercer (Student’s Union), we will walk to Monument en masse.
It would be wonderful to see fellow Stop AIDS members there, particularly as one of the Millenium Development Goals pertains directly to HIV/AIDS. Make sure you wear something white!
Other events include a Civic Prayer Breakfast at 7.30am and a public lecture at 6.00pm in the Curtis Auditorium with Paul Vallely, the Associate Editor of The Independent and co-author of Tony Blair’s ‘Africa Commission’ report.

Very best wishes,
Tony Baxter
